FiveM server setup guide: From zero to 100 players

FiveM servers run on the Cfx.re platform and need solid CPU, RAM, and bandwidth to handle 50–100+ players.

Requirements

Budget for 4–8 GB RAM and a few strong CPU cores for a medium-sized server. Storage should be SSD or NVMe for fast asset and stream loading. Bandwidth can add up with 50+ players; check your plan’s included traffic.

Setup steps

Install the Cfx.re server artifacts, configure your server.cfg (server name, endpoints, resources), and add your key. Use txAdmin or another panel for restarts and updates. Tune OneSync and streaming budgets as you add players and resources.
